Reflection

It is a new experience for me although it is a bit confusing and blur at first. But, Allhamdullillah, at last, I managed to build my own podcast by the help of my dear friends, Prema and Ong which are also my group members. Learning technology at my age is not an easy like the one who are just graduated from their training course. I need to catch up all new things and ideas within the 14-week course in Teluk Intan. It is quite difficult for me moreover at the first place I reluctant to attend this course. Thank god, after having few classes here, especially after attending the technology class given by Dr. Wageeh Shukry Hassan, I also can incorporate the podcast in my listening and speaking lesson for my beloved Year 1 pupils. It surely can attract them to be more concentrate during the English learning lesson. It is hard to make them sit down and listen. With the podcast integrated, they can enjoy listening to many sounds effect which can make them sit still. Last but not least, I hope that I will gain more knowledge during this course.

Content Standard	1.2   By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to listen and respond appropriately in formal and informal situations for a variety of purposes.
Learning Standard	1.2.2   Able to listen to and follow simple instructions in the classroom.
Objectives	At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: a.     listen to and follow at least 3 – 5 simple instructions in the classroom.
Time	30 minutes
Teaching Aids	Word cards, worksheets, power point, podcast
Pre-Listening	1.     Teacher plays few sounds and lets the pupils guess. 2.     Teacher gives the correct answers. 3.     Teacher shows the actions using parts of the body. e.g. (a)   clap hands (b)   stamp feet (c )  snap fingers (d)   slap thighs (e)   pat shoulder 4.     Teacher shows the word cards and pastes them on the board. clap           stamp            snap            slap             pat 5.     Teacher says and pupils repeat after teacher.
While-Listening	1.     Teacher gives instructions for the “Simon Says” games. 2.     Pupils listen to teacher’s instructions and do the actions. 3.     Teacher plays “Simon Says” game with pupils. 4.     Teacher shows the melody of the song (Tune: We go round the mulberry bush). ..\..\this is the way-l&s.wav 5.     Teacher sings the song and the pupils do the actions.
Post-Listening	1.     Teacher distributes the worksheets. 2.     Teacher says actions and pupils circle the correct answers. 3.     Pupils exchange their worksheets and teacher guides them to mark the worksheets. 4.     Teacher distributes other worksheets and asks the pupils to do at home.
